LANDSCAPE PAINTINGS FROM THE BALTIMORE MUSEUM OF ART

September 13 – November 29, 2008

In Celebration of the Academy Art Museum: Landscape Paintings from The Baltimore Museum of Art is a key component of the Academy Art Museum’s 50th Anniversary. Through masterworks by Renoir, Matisse, Leon Kroll and Theodore Robinson, audiences can experience a cross-section of the early seeds of the modernist landscape. Beginning with Impressionism and continuing into the twentieth century, these four paintings can relay varied approaches to the landscape.
